Quotes from Grey's Anatomy

I love Grey's Anatomy.  I dont have a favorite Grey's character anymore though because I simply learned to love every one of them in the course of the entirety of the show.  But what I love most about the show are the lines dropped by each character at the end of each scene.  Here are some which lit my brain light (ting ting ting):

  • At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines... that are way too dangerous to cross.
  • We're adults. When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?
  • That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.
  • Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.
  • There are some things you can't escape. And other things you just don't want to know.
  • I know a liar when I see one because I am a liar.
