Zi-a-a

Meet my very charming niece.

I must admit, my family and I weren’t happy when we first got the news of her arrival. Her parents surprised us, actually, left us to think how she will be raised by these two young playful kiddos.  Until now, actually, we still think of how they will be providing well for her. Tsk. Thanks to my Daddy for shouldering and tolerating his son’s further irresponsibilities. Anyway, moving forward now.

On a lighter note, Ziaa has become the limelight of our house ever since she saw the world.  That, every dark shade turns bright when a sight of her big, beautiful eyes come into the picture.  Moreso, when her cute smile and oh-ugly-but-uberly-cute giggle starts.  I tell you, she’s our breath of fresh air inspite of the gloominess.  She’s our caffeine and vitamins.  She brings a new topic on the table which we can all relate to.  She’s our new addiction and hobby. She turned monsters into baby-lovers.

I cant wait for her to grow up. To run like a boy and cry like a girl.  To dress like a lady and defend like a man. Yet, when I think about it, she’s not gonna be the same cute girl once that happens.  I know, there will be a time when she’ll get into my nerves . When her voice is gonna be even louder than mine. When her arguments will seem stronger than mine.  But then, that probably can wait its own time.

For now, I’m enjoying every minute that I can have with her. I lavish the joy that she brings with just the thought of her.  I take pleasure from the deafening shrieks I hear every morning once she’s awake. Even the clutter her existence has brought has now been taken by my system.  She doesn’t know it, but I guess, she’s one person right now who brings me unconditional happiness.  I know she’s not my own, but still, she’s half of my own breed.
Her innocence is definitely our bliss.  She might be unexpected, but nevertheless, she brought extreme joy to our family.
