I am Now 2

Time flies very fast, indeed. Sometimes, its overwhelming.

I got married in December 2013. Finally moved out from my parents’ home, which I occupied for 30 years, in January 2014. Dropped 2 floors down from our original 5th floor unit to the 3rd floor in February. And in March 2014, I got 2 positive lines on my pregnancy test as an answered prayer.

You see, I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)- a situation wherein  your ovaries find it hard to ovulate due to hormonal imbalance thereby reducing the chance of the sperm and egg to meet- more than 2 years ago and it has shattered my heart into pieces. Aside from the frustration, I have been under medication for almost 2 years. That’s actually an additional PhP1,200  from my monthly expenses and a scheduled routine of taking one capsule every 2PM.

I remember what  Sushmita Sen’s (India’ representative to 1990something Miss Universe who was eventually crowned as the winner) winning response  back then to the question- “What is the essence of being a woman?”— being able to bear a child. Well, to that sense but not exactly her words.  That actually put so much pressure on every woman. On me, particularly. Plus the incessant questioning of people around me on my baby plans after getting hitched just months ago. I tell you, it is really beginning to weigh heavier than expected.

So just imagine how high I jumped when I got the news that there’s a life inside me. Actually, that my hubby and I created a life and placed into safety inside me. I was crying all throughout my prayer of thanks while I was in church. It is magical. It is.. oh, I cant find the exact word for the exact feeling. I am in deep awe.

So, 10 weeks and counting. Hold on tight in there my love.

Thank you for this indeed wonderful blessing.♥ Trust me that I will take very good care of this.
