Cheating

What is your stand on cheating?

We all know that cheating is part of the prohibitions of humanity in this world. However, sometimes, there are situations that tease you into it and one wrong move buys you a ticket and you’ll see yourself enjoying a ride. Do not buy a ticket, they say. Easier said than done to some, but not to all.

Just recently, I enjoyed listening to discussion of friends over the matter. Of course, cheating is a taboo. But what do you do when everything is so perfect and that being “second” becomes least of a priority? What do you do when it has become part of your system and it has defined your so-called life? What do you do when people ask you to leave, but you know for a fact that, you will, not now, not tomorrow, maybe soon, but somehow you think, you will never ever leave?

In this world where we have different personalities, weaknesses and goals, people still have the same notion on cheating. Although, some people are actually lucky enough to win the battle, some people lose and move on, while some other lose, try again and never change. Along the way, there are scars, legal cases, broken homes and even innocent people popping everywhere.  That’s life I guess. But then again, I say it as easy like I do not feel any of it.

It is complicated. Even as a friend, it is. We can spill our pieces and litanies but in the end, it is not what matters in the first place. To some, maybe it does. But the heart is so strong it eats a person alive—kicking and happy.  As they say, happy people tend to look at negative situations positively. But not until you dissolve the root of their happiness.

So here I am putting my two cents in-- Stay all you want. Be careful, though. Because I am hoping that one of these days, something in disguise will make your heart stop beating as fast as it used to be for that person. And when that happens, I wish that time will tick faster until you realize that once in your life, there was something good you two shared.

So like all of them, yeah, I agree, you should leave. When? That, I guess, is between time and yourself.
