Engagement- Wedding

A lot of things has happened in the past months.   As they say, it has been a roller coaster ride of emotions with some other free rides.   Let me then recount my trip to my park of life. As I have posted on my Facebook account, I recently got engaged to the man who believes waking up in the morning beside my morning aura would be the best thing on Earth. Of course, I likewise share the same.   But as we bring ourselves closer to being  on the same bed every morning, I certainly believe that we need a lot of carpentry. We are not a perfect couple. In fact, there are times that we seem not a happy one.   We fought, fight, fight again and will fight almost every other day of our life together.   We get frustrated with our differences.   We almost neared blowing off the fire. We merely sang “Water Runs Dry” by Boyz2Men.    I know we are bothered by such differences and that these bring our arguments far, farther and even farther than...

Another Wedding

Image
I have maintained a long list of dreams with my friends. The longest might be is with my UPIS friends as we have been together since we have not gotten our monthly visits yet. Some in the list were ignored. Some were missed. Some were still trying to be achieved.   But, finally, one, was made into reality. I would like to think that every girl’s dream is to wear a beautiful gown and walk down the altar together with her equally lovely parents while her groom is waiting for her, crying.   This same idea was part of our dream list.   Hence, when one of us finally wore a white dress and was brought by her parents to her crying groom, I realized that one in the list is formally and inarguably marked with a big check. Apparently, it’s not me. It’s another friend of mine whom we thought would not go first. Well, that’s basing on our night dreams we have collected in years.   So after a year of preparation and years of waiting, Lyn and Julie finally cut singlehood o...

Sewing Machine

Image
Christmas is really a time for spending. As I was looking for something to ask my Santa (for our Christmas party) what I want for the holidays, my curious eyes caught this machine I have long longed for. You see, I'm a fan of fashion. I love making new outfits from old ones. I think I can saw with my own hands, though. Well, just the basics. Don't get me wrong. I still can't compete with even small time tailors. So, I still have to pay for cuts, adjustments on my newly-made old finds. Then, I found this animal. :) Now, I can buy my own materials and make my own. I'm actually hoping to cut my expenses on clothes because I already need a new cabinet for my current and my room does not permit it anymore. So for someone as frugal as me, I hope this will do a little help. Time for a new career! Get this: I got it at half of its original price. Lucky me. :)

Bruce

Image
Our Boston Terrier, Bruce, has been missing since 26 October 2012. We have 3 dogs- a fierce Spitz-Pomeranian bitch, a prim and exclusive askal who is more than 50 dog-years old, and the youngest, the ugly-but-very-cute Boston Terrier named Bruce. Everytime I arrive home, these 3 creatures reach for my arms like kids asking for pasalubongs. The bitch runs first while Bruce scratches my legs or leaves prints on my pants as the older one digs him to the ground for him to stop competing with their only muse. Hence, coming home one night with noticeably no black, separate-eyed small dog jumping for joy almost saying "Mommy’s home", is something indeed very unusual. He has not come back home since then. I would want to think that he might have just lost his way home. But days say that he might have been dognapped.  So many speculations have been running in our heads thinking on where he might be. But the question remains unanswered- Where is our baby Brucey?!? I pray tha...

Blue-colored Title

I wonder why the title of my blog posts are blue. I never made it that way. Now, I dont know how to fix it. Just think of it as green. Disclaimer.

Today's Yesterday Events

There have been a lot of happenings in the nation nowadays. From these, 2 have significantly affected me.   Filipinos all know that Department of Local and Interior Government Secretary Jesse Robredo has joined the Creator this long weekend.  He was likewise accompanied by his 2 pilots, Capt. Bahinting and Nepalese co-pilot, Chan.   Sec. Robredo’s legal aide, however, fortunately swam out of the drowning plane and continued his fate as a mortal.—With these, Pinoys mourn to the lost of a “good’ public servant. I cannot testify to that but to what I have been reading, I would assume Sec. Robredo did a fairly good job. His name actually didn’t ring that much when I first heard of his early return to the Heavens. Might be because he was not one of those officials people usually hear in the news. And what’s often, if not always, in the news? Bad. So, that’s where I came to my assumption. Anyhoo, I heard he has yet to get his appointment and that the President was responsi...

Liar

I am a transparent person. Most often than not, I even to tend to spill information that should be kept between me and my shadow. I don’t see it negatively though. But what I perceive to not be good is the idea that I expect the same thing to people I share my stories with.  I know I don’t have to, but, I still believe that there’s no harm in saying the truth. Unless, it’s a matter of life and something equally important, then I would at least try to understand.  But then, on other cases, please do not blame me for getting quite inquisitive. As they say, its harder to remember fabricated stories than the real ones. So don’t stress your mind trying to reconnect newly-created stories.  Read my lips: I-WILL-NOT-STOP-CATCHING-YOUR-LIES. Relating thereto, I again found a nice article at yahoo.com on some tips on how to spot a liar. So for those people who have been trying to catch these story-innovators, I guess its finally time to accep...
